Meet the Founders
Anna Berger is the founder and CEO of Trayd, a construction payroll and compliance platform built for specialty contractors. Born into a construction family, Anna saw back office inefficiencies firsthand and as a result, Trayd was developed to be the single back office operating system for contractors to manage their people, payroll and field operations. Trayd has raised $4.5M in venture funding from world-class investors like Suffolk Technologies, Bloomberg Beta, and Y Combinator and the team is based in New York City. Prior to founding Trayd, Anna was the co-founder of Curtn, a consumer social app backed by Sam Altman.
Cameron Page is the founder and CEO of Clearstory, the construction industry’s only real-time network for Change Order communication. With more than a decade of project management experience at one of Silicon Valley’s largest general contractors, he saw firsthand how outdated, fragmented Change Order processes slowed projects, strained relationships, and cost teams money. That experience ignited the idea for Clearstory: a modern, transparent, and collaborative way for construction teams to align and close Change Orders with speed and accuracy. With a Construction Management degree from Cal Poly SLO and a LEED AP certification, Cameron blends deep industry expertise with a passion for simplifying construction workflows. Today he continues to lead Clearstory’s mission to bring clarity, efficiency, and real-time collaboration to every project team.
Chris Callen grew up in a construction family and spent most of his early years convinced he would do anything other than construction. He went into technology instead. It did not take long to realize that the tech world could not offer the same oddly specific satisfaction his father felt when spotting a slab that was off by a sixteenth of an inch. Chris returned to the family company and quickly found that the real opportunity was at the intersection of construction and technology.
He led the construction firm for four years while building software on the side, because he has never been great at leaving well enough alone. One of those tools, a VR-based 4D planning platform for foremen, was accepted into Techstars in 2017. The product, Grit, evolved through several iterations and was ultimately acquired in 2020. Chris then joined a Bay Area startup to take on another highly specific problem in the built world: earthwork balancing at scale.
In 2021, he partnered with High Alpha Innovation to focus fully on solving the jobsite operational headaches that plague general contractors. The result is PLOT, a practical Operations Tool that unifies Procurement Scheduling and Delivery Coordination without the bloat, jargon, or empty promises the industry is tired of hearing.
Gabe brings extensive experience from high-rise construction to tech innovation.Starting as a laborer at 18 years old, to leading a successful high-rise window installation company. Then, founding SALUS in 2018, a safety management software now serving over 9,100 companies and 270,000 workers. Gabe’s commitment to safety and user-centered innovation drives SALUS’s mission to bridge the gap between the office and the field through safety.
Joseph Leiva, P.E., is the Co-Founder and CEO of Kaster, a construction-technology company built to modernize certified payroll and subcontractor compliance workflows for public works projects. A former Maryland-based MBE and DBE subcontractor who spent more than 15 years delivering heavy civil infrastructure work for firms such as Skanska, Walsh, Dragados, LANE, and Clark, Leiva now focuses on solving the prevailing wage reporting and documentation challenges that slow down today’s public projects. Known for a practical, user-informed approach to technology, he works closely with subcontractors, prime contractors, owners, developers, and public agencies to streamline subcontractor compliance, weekly certified payrolls, and workforce reporting.
Josh Levy is the Co-Founder and CEO of Document Crunch, the construction industry’s leading AI Risk Reduction Platform. A former construction lawyer and senior executive at top contractors like JE Dunn, Josh saw firsthand how teams struggled to interpret and administer complex contracts and project documents. That insight led to the founding of Document Crunch. Michael Pink is the Founder & CEO of SmartPM. Before starting the company, Mike spent 20 years in forensic delay analysis, digging into projects after things went sideways. He started SmartPM to change that by giving construction teams of all shapes and sizes the tools to catch problems early and keep projects on track from the start.
Mike Powers is the Co-Founder & CEO of BuildVision, a decision-governance platform for MEP equipment in commercial construction. BuildVision turns unstructured drawings and specs into a structured, traceable system so contractors, reps, and OEMs select and procure equipment correctly the first time. Mike previously led procurement and MEP coordination at Turner Construction and scaled enterprise GTM teams at BuildingConnected (acquired by Autodesk), Autodesk Construction Solutions, and OnSiteIQ.
Raised in a multi-generational construction family, he’s worked in roles throughout the industry. After graduating from the University of Miami, he joined Deloitte, earning his CPA license.
From 2013 to 2017, Patrick served as the U.S. representative from Florida’s 18th congressional district. After leaving office, Patrick was appointed to President Biden’s Export Council, advising on strategies to strengthen American exports and support job creation through trade.
